Hi, I’m Paddy! I was born early at 26 weeks + 1 day weighing just 1kg. I continued to grow in the NICU/SCN for approximately 13 weeks, and spent most of my time in NICU on CPAP breathing support to help my little lungs, and drank my milk from a tube. With the incredible support and care from the neonatal doctors and nurses at the Canberra Hospital, I was ready to go home with my mum and dad one week before my due date (January 2024) without the need for ongoing oxygen. I have been growing and thriving ever since! Having a prem or sick baby in hospital is no easy feat and it takes a lot of strength that you might not always have! That is why it is so important to raise awareness and funds for organisations like LLTF so they can continue their incredible work in supporting families like ours, during the most challenging times of their lives. Donations to Life’s Little Treasures Foundation provides much needed programs and services to vulnerable families with premature and/or sick babies. This includes items such as our Precious Prem Packs and guide books for families in hospital.
