Our little Mila was born at 36 weeks weighing a tiny but mighty 1.6kg due to a very rare chromosomal issue. She spent just under 5 weeks of her life at RWH and RCH with a diagnosis of Transient Neonatal Diabetes. She is already one of the most resilient people I know. She has endured more than most people will in their entire lives. Mila had a rocky start to her life and both the docotors and nurses were integral to keeping Mila safe, healthy and thriving but Life’s Little Treasures will always hold a special place in my heart. From the forums, countless reading material, to the little pre packed breakfasts on nights we slept by Mila’s side to all the knitted blankets, cardigans and tiny beanies that actually fit her. So to give back in the smallest of ways I will be walking and fundraising for preemies and their families!
